DelVal BMWCCA 2008 Vintage Rally

The semi-annual DelVal BMWCCA vintage rally will take place this Spring on May 17th in the 18th Century Bucks County countryside (start in New Hope, PA which is in between Philadelphia and New York City).

** MAY 16 UPDATE ** PLEASE READ ** CHANGE IN STARTING LOCATION!!! **

One of our participants just notified us that at 11am tomorrow a Gay Pride rally is kicking off at New Hope H.S. parking lot at 11am. NOT TO WORRY as I have a backup plan. Keep driving PAST the high school (which will be on your right hand side as you are going away from town) and two blocks down on your right at the FIRST traffic light is a Lukoil gas station which is at the corner of Bridge St. and Sugan Rd. We will meet at the gas station at 11am and start the rally as planned at Noon. The Lukoil gas station # 215-862-5350.

If you need to reach me, my cell phone is 856-296-9290. This will NOT affect the rally as this was simply the first turn during the start of the rally. In fact this will be the only place to gas up for the entire 60 mile rally.

PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO ANY OF YOUR FRIENDS WHO WILL BE ATTENDING THE RALLY!!

Photos from last Fall's event can be seen at: http://www.e9coupe.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2290

Highlights will include steep twisty country roads, elevated roads overlooking the Delaware River, a vineyard photo stop and a culmination at the Tinicum Polo grounds to have lunch while watching some Polo. This year we are opening the event up to all Pre-1983 BMW's so we can include E12's, E21's and early E23's and E24's (previous age was pre-1975 cars).

Our last event was held last November. Despite the rain we had 15 E9 coupes and 2002's. We are looking for about 25 or so cars to join in the event. Anyone who is interested can email me directly at vintagechair@delvalbmwcca.org for more information. This event draws from the Washington/Baltimore area all the way up to central New York.

We hope to see many of you there!
