About this event
Delaware Valley Chapter of BMW CCA presents "Taste of the Track", an introduction to all you need to know to become a better driver in your own BMW
We are thrilled to introduce an event that many of you have been asking for: an introduction to our track based driving instruction program that we are calling "Taste of the Track - ToTT for short!
This event will occur on Saturday, August 9, 2025, in conjunction with our Chapter's High Performance Driving School (HPDE) and Club Race that will be in progress the weekend of August 9 and 10, 2025 at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, NJ
This event is designed to give you an introductory "up close" look so you can learn about what's involved in driving your car at a future HPDE in the safe, controlled environment of the track. ToTT is designed for those who have been wondering about our "driving on the track" events and would like to find out what's involved in driving YOUR car to the track.
Our program for the day will include a meet-up at a Cars and Coffee in Mount Laurel, NJ, followed by a group drive to the track, special parking track-side for our group, a presentation with Q&A, a "Hoagie Feast" lunch, a group parade lap in your car around the track at "Pace" speed, and an opportunity to get a ride with an instructor in their car at "track" speed to get the full picture (limited spaces - Donation to B+ requested for instructor rides. See details at the bottom of this page)!
This Is the perfect introduction to a whole new way to see your car and see what advanced driver training looks like. We invite you to bring your partner and well behaved children to join the event and see along with you what this is all about!
The DelVal Chapter's events for the weekend will be supported by Continental Tire, who who are the Official Tire of BMW CCA! Tire experts will be on hand to answer your questions about tires, there will be some cool swag and give aways, including a chance to win a set of four brand new Continental Tires!
This event is also a Charity Fund Raiser for a Group called "B+" (Be Positive),
The B+ Foundation is about Kids Helping Kids Fight Cancer – raising money through events on college campuses, local events like 5Ks and Golf Outings, corporate partnerships, merchandise sales, and more
The Chapter will have some B+ Families at the event and some of them will be enjoying demo rides on the track!
If you would like to join this event, please register so we have enough of the needed resources for the event. All participants will need to sign Chapter event waivers, plus additional waivers that the track will require.
The Details:
- All participants must be members of the BMW Car Club of America
- All participants will meet at Millers Ale House parking lot in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, where a cars and coffee event will be in progress. We will depart the C&C as a Group and drive as group 60 to 75 minutes to the South Jersey Motorsports Park Location.
- All cars in the group must be together when we enter the track property and make our way to the designated location for our group's parking
- Members may not bring any electric or hybrid car to participate in this event. Any internal combustion car is OK
- Participants may bring guests, family members and well behaved children
- Minors may require an additional waiver
- Lunch will be available and will be a selection of cold sandwiches and soft drinks
- Participants will be given the opportunity to join a parade lap or two on the track during a break in the regular day's programming and all participants are welcomed to join the parade laps.
- A total of ten (10) spaces are available for participants in the ToTT event who would like to join a Chapter instructor in their track school car for a few laps "at speed". Additional waivers may be required, a loaner helmet (required) will be made available and we are asking for a generous donation to our Charitable partner, B+ Foundation, by all those who take instructor rides.
- A waiting list will be established if more instructor rides are desired than the 10 spaces available. We would ask that all Instructor riders be mindful of others who would take their place and advise us if there is a change in their plans to take the instructor rides, so that others can take the spot.
